Main bio

I'm Alper a product designer in Istanbul who loves turning complicated things into simple ones .

I spend my days designing products for fields like finance, logistics and agriculture, where "they'll figure it out" is not an option. The people using these tools are busy, tired and have real work to do. My job is to get out of their way.

I've worked on teams of two and teams of twenty. Sometimes I had endless user research, sometimes I had to make educated guesses with little data. What stays the same: asking the right question, working with people who know more than me, and shipping things that actually help.

Right now I'm at Atlas Pay, designing experiences that let small businesses run payments and invoices from a single screen.

When I'm not designing, you'll find me thinking about why some interfaces feel intuitive and others make you want to throw your laptop out of a window. Usually with coffee.

  1. Why before what

    Before wireframes, I want to understand which problem we are really solving. What people ask for isn't always what they need.

  2. Designing for real constraints

    Perfect conditions don't exist. Budgets are tight, timelines are short, legacy systems are messy. I like making smart calls with imperfect information.

  3. Collaboration over hero design

    The best work happens when design, engineering and product actually talk. Figuring out what is possible and valuable together is the fun part.

  4. Making the invisible visible

    Some of the most impactful design is quiet: the auto-save that prevents panic, the progress bar that keeps you oriented, the error message that actually helps.
