The real problem
Small businesses clicked through 9 screens on average to issue an invoice, entering the same data again and again. A third of all support tickets asked "where did my invoice go?"
"I genuinely don't know if I'm done or if there's another screen."

Finding the fix
I mapped the whole flow end to end and three problems stood out: no sense of progress, no safety net, and screens ordered by database logic instead of how people think.
- An always-visible progress indicator
- Auto-save with real feedback
- Regrouping that cut 9 screens down to 4

What changed
Time to issue an invoice dropped from 6 minutes to 50 seconds. Tickets about lost drafts fell by 70% in the first month.
